Starbucks announced (on twitter) that they are discontinuing the Valencia Orange Cake. They haven't had the cake very long, and apparently the reviews were not great. They say they'll be carrying Kind Bars, which will still give Gluten Free customers an option.
My question is, what ever happened to "Let them eat cake?" Really, the last thing I want with a cup of coffee is a fruit and nut bar. I'm an old fashioned junk food foodie that way. I wonder if Starbucks has any other breadlike options in the works?
In the mean time, it's back to cakeless coffee and still no biscotti.
Thought for the day: I wonder of Starbucks has considered the dipping implications of this decision.
